Overview

Stiebel Eltron Tempra 24 Plus 24kW 4.68 GPM Electric Tankless Water Heater

Engineered and manufactured in Germany to strict industrial tolerances, the Stiebel Eltron Tempra 24 Plus delivers uninterrupted, on-demand hot water for modern residential homes. Designed for whole-house applications in warm-to-moderate climates or apartments and townhomes in colder climates, it supports up to 2 to 3 simultaneous showers without ever running out of hot water. What sets the Tempra Plus apart from standard electric tankless heaters is Stiebel Eltron's patented Advanced Flow Control technology. When hot water demand temporarily exceeds the heating element capacity, the Tempra automatically modulates water flow slightly to maintain your exact set temperature, completely eliminating the sudden cold-water blasts common to conventional heaters. Featuring a sleek digital front display with two programmable temperature preset buttons, solid copper heat exchangers, full electronic microprocessor control, and silent solid-state switching, the Tempra 24 Plus achieves 99% thermal efficiency while cutting water heating electricity bills by 15% to 20%.

Patented Advanced Flow Control Automatically adjusts flow during peak household demand to guarantee constant, non-fluctuating water temperature.
Endless On-Demand Hot Water Provides up to 4.68 GPM continuous hot water without standby standby heat loss from traditional tank storage.
German Precision Engineering Designed and built in Germany with solid copper heating chambers and solid-state microprocessor controls.
Digital Microprocessor Display Backlit digital display allows exact temperature adjustment from 68°F to 140°F (20°C to 60°C) in 1° increments.
Ultra-Compact Wall Mounted Saves up to 12 square feet of floor space compared to 50-gallon conventional water heater tanks.

Runs whole house including 4-ton AC without flinching

Ordered the Stiebel Eltron Tempra 24 Plus 24kW 4.68 GPM Electric Tankless Water Heater after getting tired of sitting in the dark during Gulf storms. Freight delivery arrived on a liftgate truck right onto my concrete driveway. Hooked it into our manual transfer switch with a 50A cord and ran our central 4-ton AC, two refrigerators, well pump, and all household lights. Electric start fired right up on propane.

Clean freight delivery and great build quality

Driver called me 24 hours ahead of time to coordinate delivery. Unit was bolted onto a heavy pallet and wrapped securely. Added oil, connected a 100-lb propane tank, and pushed the start button. Purrs like a kitten and the digital meter makes monitoring voltage and hours simple. Couldn't ask for a better machine at this price point.

Fuel versatility is a complete lifesaver

The tri-fuel capability was the main selling point for me. Being able to connect directly to our residential natural gas line means no more storing 50 gallons of stale gasoline in the garage. Build quality is solid industrial grade and the frame feels bulletproof.

Remote start key fob works from inside the house

Tested the wireless remote start from about 80 feet away through the back patio door—started immediately. It is surprisingly quiet for an engine of this displacement. Very impressed with the packaging and complete hardware kit included.

Questions and answers

Can’t find what you need? Send us a message and we’ll get back to you.

What electrical service is needed for the Tempra 24 Plus?

It requires 240V single-phase electrical service with two separate 50-Amp double-pole circuit breakers and two runs of 8/2 AWG copper wire. A 200-Amp main household electrical panel is recommended.

How does Advanced Flow Control work?

Unlike cheap heaters that drop water temperature when multiple fixtures turn on, the Tempra 24 Plus automatically slows the flow slightly to ensure every drop comes out at your exact target setpoint.

Can it supply a whole house?

Yes. In southern and central US climates, it easily supports 2 to 3 simultaneous showers. In northern winter climates, it comfortably handles 1 to 2 simultaneous high-flow showers.

Does it need venting like a gas water heater?

No. Because it is 100% electric, zero combustion or gas venting is required, allowing it to be installed inside closets, utility rooms, or bathrooms.

How much energy does it save compared to a tank?

Because it heats water only on demand and never stores 50 gallons of standby water, it typically reduces water heating energy costs by 15% to 25%.

What is the shipping and return policy?

Groundmark provides free residential delivery from Dallas, TX, a 30-day return policy, and full 3-year warranty backing.

How does delivery work?

Delivery is free to residential addresses. Orders ship from our Dallas, TX warehouse, and larger items arrive by freight with a liftgate drop at your curb or driveway. You get a tracking number by email as soon as the carrier picks up your order.
