Ordered the APEC Water Systems Essence 75 GPD 6-Stage Under-Sink Alkaline Mineral Reverse Osmosis System after getting tired of sitting in the dark during Gulf storms. Freight delivery arrived on a liftgate truck right onto my concrete driveway. Hooked it into our manual transfer switch with a 50A cord and ran our central 4-ton AC, two refrigerators, well pump, and all household lights. Electric start fired right up on propane.

How often do the filters need to be replaced?

Pre-filters (Stages 1–3) are changed every 6 to 12 months. The 6th stage alkaline mineral filter and TCR post-carbon filter last 12 months, and the central 75 GPD RO membrane lasts 2 to 3 years depending on local municipal water hardness.

Can this system connect to my refrigerator or ice maker?

Yes. You can run 1/4" tubing from the post-carbon tee to your refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser for crystal-clear ice and chilled alkaline water.

What water pressure is required to operate?

Standard household water pressure between 40 and 85 PSI is required. If your incoming water pressure is under 40 PSI, an auxiliary booster pump is recommended.

Does this system require an electrical outlet?
